The oven has been going great. The solid floor is fantastic to use for pizza, and we use it at least weekly for pizza nights and then overnight for a roast.
We’ve cooked wood-fired pizzas, slow-roasted lamb shoulder, beef ribs, crispy pork belly, and even tried baking bread. The favourite so far would have to be the lamb roast.
The meals taste amazing. There’s a depth of flavour you just don’t get from a regular kitchen oven, similar to the difference between cooking a steak on a charcoal BBQ versus a fry pan.
The oven is set up in our outdoor entertaining area, built into a custom aluminium floor on limestone. The roof is going on soon, and so far it’s been perfect for weekend cook-ups and hosting friends. The setup makes it easy to prep, cook, and serve.
We’ve also used the accessories that came with the oven, including the pizza peel and brush. The peel is sturdy, easy to handle, and performs really well.

We are very happy with both the look and, most importantly, the functionality of the oven. The internal heat dispersion is very uniform, heat retention is excellent, and the insulation is outstanding. It reaches operating temperature quickly and is an extremely well-built product.
We mainly cook pizzas and bread, and as I continue to learn more about the oven and the best timber to use, the flavours just keep getting better.
Our home is a standalone townhouse with courtyards on three sides. We’ve set up the oven in the corner of one courtyard, creating a purpose-built cooking area with the oven on one side and a charcoal grill on the other.
We’ve already shared some wonderful pizzas, bread, and even a bit of wine with family and friends. My daughter was very impressed when she saw it for the first time, and she and her husband are now renovating their home and keen to incorporate something similar.

Horácio Teixeira Pinto
Born in 1927, Horácio was well versed in ceramics by 18 and developed the original technique for crafting traditional ovens — a method refined and continued on from by his grandchildren today.
